MEBA offers solutions for the cost-effective processing of tubes and profiles—from standard cutting to complex profile machining.

The combination of band saws and TubeLaser systems covers the entire spectrum of profile machining.

While band saws are particularly efficient for simple cutting of thicker materials and large cross-sections, the TubeLaser enables additional processing steps directly during the cutting process.

This allows manufacturing processes to be optimized to increase productivity, setup times to be reduced, and complete components to be produced in a single operation.

The TubeLaser is suitable for tubes and profiles made of steel, aluminum, and other metals. It is particularly cost-effective for processing thin- to medium-walled profiles as well as complex geometries. Optimal application range: wall thicknesses of approximately 1–8 mm.

A TubeLaser is particularly worthwhile if multiple processing steps—such as sawing, drilling, milling, or marking—are currently performed separately. The laser integrates these processes into a single step. The result: shorter cycle times, fewer machines, and reduced labor costs. In addition, new design possibilities emerge, such as snap-fit connections and integrated assembly aids.

Three versions are available: Base – entry-level solution, Auto – standard solution for mechanical and steel construction, Pro – high-performance solution for mass production.

It enables the cutting of weld bevels and complex profile joints directly during the process, reduces the need for post-processing, and improves component quality.

Round tubes: Ø20–230 mm; square/rectangular: 20×20 to 230×230 mm.
For thick-walled materials(>8 –10 mm), simple cutting operations, or very heavy-duty applications. A combination of a band saw and a laser is often the best solution.

Operating costs consist of electricity, process gases, and wear parts. For many applications, compressed air can also be used—especially when working with steel and when visible edges are not a concern (e.g., when the workpiece is subsequently coated or painted). This can significantly reduce costs.

MEBA offers installation, commissioning, training, remote support, and structured service and maintenance plans. The technology requires little maintenance; however, as with band saws, routine maintenance and preventive inspections are performed to ensure maximum operational reliability.

Critical spare parts such as optics, nozzles, and wear parts are in stock at MEBA and are typically shipped within 24 hours. In addition, spare parts kits and maintenance recommendations are available to minimize downtime.
